Who can join the Supervisor Training Academy?

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Education, ABA, etc.) 
RBT Certification
Enrollment into a BACB-approved course corresponding to the BCBA or BCaBA course sequence
Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
Strong communication and organizational skills
In good standing with the organization and a recommendation from your Regional Clinical Manager.

Gain introductory training on how we uphold client dignity in our program design and service delivery. Develop insight to why two key approaches of PFA/SBT and PRT align best with CAS’s personalized care philosophy and clinical values of effective, compassionate care.

F.A.Q.s

Q: Can I obtain SPE through the Supervisor Training Academy? 
A: Yes, you (supervisee) and the supervising BCBA will sign a formal agreement to document the terms under which the supervisee will collect the required supervised hours for BCBA certification. 

Q: Can I reapply if I don’t get into the program? 
A: If you are not accepted into the program, you may reapply during the next application cycle. We encourage you to review the feedback provided, assess any areas for improvement, and strengthen your application before submitting it again. 

Q: What happens if I miss a session? 
A: Attendance is important, but we understand that situations arise from time to time. Please inform the program supervisor if you need to miss a session, and we will work with you on how to catch up. 

Q: Will I be compensated for participating in the Supervisor Training Academy program?
A: Yes! This is a paid training opportunity! Completing required coursework, assignments, and participating in group meetings will be compensated at a training rate. Any additional time spent completing optional assignments for BACB SPE hours only are voluntary and will not be compensated.

Roles & Responsibilities

Attend bi-weekly meetings to maintain and acquire technical knowledge.
Complete weekly assignments preparing for administrative and field tasks.
Arrive prepared for supervision meetings with assigned readings, videos and tasks completed.
Demonstrate initiative by seeking additional training and supervision for professional growth.
Uphold integrity and adhere to ethical guidelines set by the BACB.
Provide 1:1 direct client care using various teaching methods.
Fulfill additional duties related to fieldwork supervision and BCBA-level tasks as assigned.
Act as a floating substitute to enhance skills and engage with diverse clients.
Assist with skill acquisition assessments, initial assessments, and ongoing treatment assessments on assigned cases.
Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers on client progress per BCBA guidance.
Fulfill all Lead RBT roles and responsibilities
