Early Intervention
Our Family-Centered Approach
At Community Autism Services, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, we provide family-centered Early Intervention (EI) services for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old. We work closely with each family, empowering them to nurture their child's growth and development within their natural environment and routines. We recognize that every child has unique gifts and strengths and that building upon those strengths promotes confidence, security and independence, even at a young age.
Our Early Intervention Services and Support
Our Early Intervention programs are individualized, focusing on health, educational, and therapeutic services designed to improve outcomes for children with disabilities or delays. We specialize in the new skills that babies typically develop during the first years of life, such as physical, cognitive, communication, social/emotional, and self-help.

How is Early Intervention Implemented?
The Community Autism Services EI professionals will provide appropriate services in your child’s natural environment. Typically, this means that services will take place in your home, but it can also mean that services will take place in daycare or community settings. This will be determined by the parent and provider as a team and will be based on the needs of the child and the goals set forth in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
How is EI Implemented in Pennsylvania?
Community Autism Services partners with the Philadelphia, Delaware, and Chester County Early Intervention programs. We work with each county as referring provider once families connect through the proper channels within their county’s referral system. As a team we work with our Early Intervention Community to provide services in the child’s natural environment. That can be provided in the home, daycare, grandparents’ home, community, or telehealth. To learn more about Early Intervention and the guidelines you can visit OCDEL’s website and explore Department of Education for Early Intervention.
